Growing up near an airport, watching planes take off and land is what sparked a lifelong love of aviation. That curiosity led to a career in the cockpit — and planes.fyi exists to pass that same spark on to the next generation.
Aviation data has traditionally been locked behind expensive tools and insider knowledge. We believe that understanding how flight works — seeing aircraft move through three-dimensional space above real runways and terrain — should be something anyone can experience.
